Dear Students and Families,

Laramie County School District #1 (LCSD1) would like to introduce and welcome you to the new Cheyenne Virtual School (CVS) beginning in the Fall of 2020.  CVS will offer FREE online learning to any student (Kindergarten-12th grade) who is a resident of LCSD1.  We are proud to offer a full-time, online program to serve our students locally. When transferring to the Cheyenne Virtual School, you can be assured of a seamless transition to online learning within your own district.

Our goal is to provide a personalized virtual experience by offering opportunities for students to work with local teachers, be included in activities/athletics through their boundary school, and have the opportunity for social activities with other LCSD1 online students. Students enrolled in CVS will work towards a LCSD1 diploma and will remain eligible for the Hathaway Scholarship.

We have listened to the needs of our community to offer online schooling both in times of need and based on personal choices. Our program will use our own local teachers to educate your children in an online setting using state of the art courses developed by Edgenuity. Our courses use online videos and content to help your learning be both educational and fun!

All learners—especially younger students—will require some at-home support from an adult providing frequent monitoring and hands-on assistance as needed. For further information about the commitment from parents, please check the Cheyenne Virtual School link on our website at:

Students who live in the LCSD1 boundary may enroll in CVS at any time.  Students who wish to leave CVS and return to their physical school may do so at the end of each quarter. Please note:  Depending on school capacity across the district at the time of return, elementary students will not be guaranteed re-enrollment at a specific school.

Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions you may have at:

I look forward to serving you and your students.
